News

SPRING IS TRYING TO HAPPEN.

Temperatures dipped below freezing at night the past two evenings due to a colding trend coming in from Russia. We anticipate that temps will begin to warm up and will continue to rise for the remainder of the month of May. Birch trees are trying to bud but the cold weather over the past two days has stunted their growth. The river ice went out calmly with little to no problems two weeks ago although there is still ice and snow along the banks of the river.

Eagles have been seen diving into the river and returning to the air with small fish.  We have seen very little in the way of moose this spring.  This is not a very pretty time of year on the lower river although the upper river is a beautiful crystal clear turquoise color.

Krog's Kamp guests landing at Big River Lakes to enjoy their Alaska fishing vacation. This is one of the most sought after Alaska fishing trips available.

Guests get a bird's eye view of a beaver lodge when heading out for an Alaskan fishing trip.

When fishing in Alaska, you will visit many places that are in essence wild and almost untouched.

An Alaska Black Bear at Wolverine Creek is a frequent sight when you guests are salmon fishing. Although the Alaska fishing lodge they are staying at is on the road system, they have an opportunity to get out into the wilds of Alaska for a real remote Alaskan fishing trip.

Alaska fishing at its best. This Alaska Black Bear surveys the area while enjoying an Alaskan fishing trip.

A gorgeous sight from our Alaska fishing lodge. Let your Alaska fishing vacation be the trip of a lifetime.
